Course profile

This innovative area of Concentration Studies offers students various opportunities to meet the challenges brought about by competitive economic and globalisation trends. Young entrepreneurs can create new business ventures in the Hong Kong and Chinese economies and globally through e-commerce. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills demanded by employers in a variety of business sectors.

Distinctive Features:

  • Encouraging students to explore and evaluate the business environment for opportunities of launching entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Providing vigorous training in economics, accounting, marketing, general management and information systems management.
  • Students can apply the knowledge and training in entrepreneurship and management to launch, manage, and grow their business enterprises.
  • Gaining practical exposure to the real business world and connect to various professional communities through the Company Attachment Programme of this area of Concentration Studies.

  • Level 2 in five subjects (including Chinese Language and English Language);
    A DSE applicant is allowed to use not more than two Applied Learning subjects in the application. (i) "Attained" in an Applied Learning subject is considered to have achieved "Level 2" and (ii) "Attained with Distinction" in an Applied Learning subject is considered to have achieved "Level 3" 
  • Satisfactory completion of the Yi Jin Diploma;
  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Associate Degree / Associate Degree Foundation Programme;
  • 3 passes in HKCEE plus Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language and 1 pass in A-Level subject or 2 passes in AS-Level subjects;
  • Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by College of International Education;
  • Aged 21 or above with acceptable qualifications to justify admission
