Course profile

The programme was designed specifically for globally-focused executives and managers who seek to deepen their understanding of both Western and Eastern business perspectives and who are passionate about the opportunities offered by Asia's rapid economic development.  EMBA-Global Asia provides a collaborative learning environment in which a diverse group of executives debate theories, discuss cases and share experiences.  The curriculum is comprehensive and demanding. The timetable enables highly-focused learning, minimising time spent away from the office and ensuring optimum learning impact. EMBA-Global Asia is internationally recognized as one of the world’s top Executive MBA programmes.

Organised into five modules, where students take courses one week per month, the programme can be completed in 16-20 months.  The first three modules build core business skills and the final two modules are completed with electives that students may choose to take at any of the three partner schools.

Renowned faculty from three of the world’s top business schools combine to operate at the intersection between theory and practice, conducting cutting-edge research that has a real-world impact on the understanding and practice of international business today.  Faculty members travel with the students to teach in London, New York Hong Kong and Shanghai.  Frequent guest speakers, cases studies and corporate visits enhance classroom learning.

The diversity of the EMBA-Global Asia class was a real highlight. Having worked in emerging countries for the last 10 years, it was great to connect with other organisations and see how businesses work in other parts of the world. Everyone on the programme was very different, not only culturally, but also in terms of work experience and sector. They were also extremely ambitious and hardworking.

EMBA-Global Asia offers a unique professional, academic, cultural and social experience: the demanding lifestyle of a truly international executive. For me, travelling every month between four continents, ensuring business continuity while being away from work, and dealing with the sheer diversity of the programme puts to the test your intellectual nimbleness and physical stamina. Such an experience profoundly shapes you as a more insightful, resourceful and inspirational leader.

The opportunity to learn from such an experienced and diverse group of peers was a huge benefit. I transitioned my role in the company to focus more on finance. Learning from classmates who were already well established in the finance industry and who had a wealth of practical knowledge was invaluable.
