The course will enable students to acquire advanced competency in the management of patients with advanced periodontal diseases, and forms the third year of the years of higher education and training in Periodontology. It will include the role of dental implants in the rehabilitation of periodontally compromised dentition and their placement in aesthetically compromised sites. A multidisciplinary approach is emphasized in the management of patients with advanced disease. The course includes lectures, tutorials, seminars, case conferences, and clinical and laboratory work.

An MDS degree in Periodontology of this University or an equivalent qualification in Periodontology.
